The path itself is very well-maintained and not muddy at all. Honestly, it could be done in gym shoes if you don’t happen to have hiking boots.
Being a 3.2-mile out-and-back trail, it’s about 1.5 miles to the top with only an 800-foot elevation gain. Once at the summit, there are two overlook points, both offering insane views.
This trail provides one of the best payoffs for the little amount of effort required. I personally prefer the second summit a bit more, but both are absolutely incredible.
